Cuban Missile Crisis Flight Suit

Flight suit worn by Commander William Ecker during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On October 23, 1962, the US Navy flew its first low altitude photoreconnaissance mission over Cuba, led by Commander William Ecker. This photo was taken on the 50th anniversary of that mission, as William Ecker's family donated his flight suit to the Museum's collection.
