Maternal, newborn and child health
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance's Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) programme (Oct 2010 - Sept 2011) reached over 100,000 people.

The programme, funded by UK aid from the Department for International Development (DFID) aimed to reduce HIV-related maternal mortality and improve health outcomes for HIV positive women in four countries: Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda and Zambia.

The four countries were identified because of their high burden of maternal mortality and HIV.

The work was carried out by Alliance national Linking Organisations, supported by many community-based and civil society organisations.
