Dripping with Life
Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve
Established with a gift from the Save-the-Redwoods League.
During the summer Redwood trees are watered by fog condensing on their branches and dripping down to wet the earth. There is normally no rain at all during this time. I read recently that the Redwood forests of the California coast could be threatened by climate change which will reduce the fog cover along the coast.
