The light

Zaynah is a niece.

Born and brought up in USA, she started wearing head-gown (hijab) when she was only 12 years old. She wasn't influenced by her parents or family. In fact her mom never used it.

In spite of what one might think, she is very popular among her friends in her Uni. She faced one or two problems soon after 9/11 for her hijab even though she was very young at that time, but no more (America is a great nation).

She is a very bright student.

She does voluntary works in a nursing home where she cares for the elderly which includes cleaning them up after they have soiled their nappies. They love her more than the nursing home staff. I asked her why she did it. She replied, 'they are so cute'.

As you have guessed, she loves photography. She named her new camera 'aftab' =)

I am proud of you Zaynah. As a doctor I never cared for others as much as you do.

Ammu, I am so sorry that it took me so long to post this.

But you know very well, you are always in my heart and prayers.
