This screen capture of the #ontsm tag cloud was made approximately 46 hours after the original image. Between the two, fifty Ontario educators gathered for a get-together evening social, and then spent six hours in deep conversation about the role of social media in education. During this time, 141 individual Twitter accounts participated in the discussion (that's an ironic number, if you think about it).
The tag cloud is generated from a database of a little over 1050 tweets collected primarily over the past two days. Much more interesting than the cloud are the tweets hiding behind it, and the ideas that collectively appear when you follow the conversations.
The live tag cloud is available online, and provides access to an indexed archive of the tweets by the participating individuals. There is also a search interface which lets you select based on a keyword or a Twitter screen name.
