While on a walking holiday a friend of mine was doing the dishes in a dishwasher. He set it going and went to bed, leaving a couple of us working out the next day's map route.
A while later I noticed some weird sounds and lots of water coming from the kitchen. Suddenly there were bubbles everywhere pouring out of the dishwasher - we ended up scooping bubbles out of it using a bucket, scraping them off all surfaces with anything we had to hand.
It took us a long time to clean up the mess, and we worked out that by mistake he'd used standard washing up liquid. When we told him the next day he gave us a blank look and professed complete ignorance...
So obviously he was the butt of all the jokes for the rest of his holiday - much to his consternation. We re-christened him Doctor Bubbles, which still gets used to this day.
On the way home, Paul (pictured) and I saw this shop on the highstreet of a town we were passing through, and we just couldn't resist grabbing some bubbles from a corner shop and taking this shot.
This was his reaction when I gave him a print of this for his birthday...
