The Cost of Domestic Violence

Uma K.C., a survivor of domestic violence, shows me burn scars on her hands. Nearly two years ago during a heated argument, her husband poured gasoline on her and set her on fire. A neighbor overhead her screams and rescued her. Raksha Nepal, a local NGO, is helping to file her case.
