Lamia | by The Advocacy Project

Lamia is from Homs. Her house there was destroyed and she fled to Jordan in September 2013 by car with her brother. She has two kids, but they remain in Syria with her ex-husband. She is here alone.

Lamia works cleaning houses, but still needs help supplementing her income. Since she has no dependents here, it’s difficult for her as a Syrian to get food vouchers. The food distributions at CRP help her make ends meet and keep food on her table.

Today was Lamia’s first time at CRP. She learned about the community center from her neighbors, who encouraged her to visit. She’s very thankful to them for sharing this information, and thankful to CRP for providing her with food staples and a fan today.
