So, why are my colours different when I upload them onto the internet. I feel like I've edited them colourwise to the point of perfection but once they're uploaded -- the colour is totally less than how I initially perceived it in Photoshop.

Are you using color profiles? Or, are you editing them with a large bright white frame behind them? Colors look different on flickr sometimes because they've got so much white around them.

Otherwise, it might be a screen-to-screen gamma issue, especially if you've altered your own monitor's gamma in any way.

I know what you mean though, i catch photos in my stream sometimes, and i just think to myself, "what is going on with this one?"

But, this photo has beautiful clarity, and just enough coolness in the light.

This is a great shot - I love the contrast of the red and the white.

I've tried calibrating my screen - have you done that? Sometimes mine still looks a bit off though.

Well, I love this shot. I was talking to a friend today about the colour red... You make it work excellently (is that a word). Well done.

How is Chicago treating you? cold? raining, snowy?

if it is, keep it there and dont let it come this way.

Feel nothing in that pix... Look like a flat subject in an insipid world... Good DOF and texture... Don't like the compo and thema perhaps cause this make me neurasthenic... Sorry

The red and the vividness of that color instantly popped out to me. I like this photograph.

      This is gorgeous, Nick.

For the colors, make sure you are uploading files with sRGB as their color profile. Adobe RGB will look stupid on the web.

Never mind. You are in sRGB. I have no idea then. I notice slight loss of contrast and intensity upon upload of sRGB files, too, which I have no clue how to fix.

I agree with all thouse who enjoy the colors you contrasted. THey have a simple beauty which reflect your subjects well.

You need a color calibration device. That'll bring the monitor in line with what you should be seeing. eye poppin' reds here, Nick.

Colours? Hmm sorry I was just looking at her...a gorgeous girl and coffee. Serious I do not see much of a colour imperfection. I like the contrast a lot, that it goes unnoticed.
