MY STOLEN CAMERA
My camera was stolen from me today, outside my home in Glen Park/Sunnyside, while I was shooting with it. The above are the serial numbers for my Nikon and the 50mm lens that was on it. This camera will be floating around SF tonight. If you see it in a pawn shop, Craig's list, EBay, Civic Center... please call Officer Amy Hurwitz (#4146) at 415-404-4000 (because the people that shoved me to the ground in front of my 7 year old to steal my camera have been doing this to people in my neighborhood for the last few weeks and are getting more violent) and reference case #130 035 533.
Addendum per request - the thieves were in a rented, black Chevy with dark tinted windows. It is believed they have used several different rentals over the weeks. The creep that actually took the camera (the other two were in the car) was a skinny, 20ish black man, about 5'10". He was wearing a white cap and dark clothes. I didn't see his face as he knocked me down from behind and was ahead of me as I chased him back to the car. They were most likely watching me for a minute or two as I wasn't robbed until I unslung my camera which made it easy to grab. They are targeting women with obvious valuable electronics like iPhones and cameras or expensive looking bags.
