General Robert Edward Lee - ACWS Sheffield 2010

Robert Edward Lee (January 19, 1807 – October 12, 1870) was a career United States Army officer and combat engineer. He became the commanding general of the Confederate army in the American Civil War and a postwar icon of the South's "lost cause."

He assumed command of the Confederate eastern army (soon christened "The Army of Northern Virginia") after the wounding of Joseph Johnston at the Battle of Seven Pines.

Of course this is not the real General Lee, this is a re-enactor who takes part in American Civil War events up and down the country. This was taken at the recent Sheffield Fayre.

More to follow of the event.
