This is a watercolor painting of Neko sleeping. I used a limited palette of winsor orange and cobalt blue. I love the neutrals that come from those two colors.

Poor Neko has fatty liver disease but I'm hoping the esophageal tube put in her yesterday to give her more nutrition will start to reverse the liver disease.

I agree, those two colors make the absolute best neutrals! Such a lovely cat you have and you also have the talent to capture her. Congratulations on a gorgeous watercolor!

Thank you all for sending your kind comments!

Neko got to come home for the weekend and she goes back to the vet on Monday to stay for the day and see from there if her liver is healing. She has a little energy but mostly she just wants to rest. She's being fed with an esophageal tube. We hope she's getting better and will start eating food on her soon. At times tonight, she was purring, so that seems like a good sign.

Neko looks so contented. Yes, the CoBl and the W.O. are just perfect for the fur. Wonderful painting.

Oh Adine, I am so very sorry to hear this news about your precious kitty. How old is she? I am so proud of owning one of these prints that I framed beautifully and it's hanging in my Mom's condo. She's a lover of art, but not all.....but she is in love with your work, so that is a huge compliment. I gave her my favorite print that I bought from you and besides my family are HUGE cat lovers. Please let me know how Neko is doing! You have my e-mail address. She will be in my prayers. I'm so glad you have captured her in several of my favorite pieces you have done. Lot's of Love, Linda

This is a wonderful use of grays. You can feel the sun and hear the purrs. Nice softness in your watercolor.
