This is by far my favorite of the three pictures that I have of Alice. It's just a snapshot, like the rest, but everything, from the pose to the lighting (with the possible exception of the resolution) is practically studio quality. I love her dress and the little ringlets in her hair too. Very beautiful. The was take at least a year after the photo that identified her a being "crippled", so she must have
been helped onto the bench. That might explain the sullen look on her face in the picture. Not being able to get around as well on your own anymore must add a certain degree of fuel to the moody, teenage fire.
As with all of the other pictures, this one has Alice's name, age,and the year the picture was taken written on the back by someone who I suspect was a more recent relative.
