Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Bust at the U.S. Navy Museum
This is a bust of Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, one of four men to ever achieve the rank of Fleet Admiral in the United States Navy. He is well known for his leadership as the Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet and Pacific Ocean Areas in the Pacific Theater of World War II.
This bust of Admiral Nimitz, created by John B. Weaver, can be seen in "the Pacific Theater" section of the In Harm's Ways, the Navy in World War II exhibit at the National Museum of the United States Navy at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
