This was a view looking out over the infinity pool at the Kandalama hotel, near Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The hotel was built by Geoffrey Bawa, a famous Sri Lankan architect. It is basically built out of a jungle. The pool looks off into a "tank" which is a man-made lake created by an ancient king. Amanda and I got up at sunrise to see the spectacular view and I decided to try my hand at a little HDR imaging. This picture makes me glad that I brought my tripod half-way around the world.
