Male Migrant Hawker Dragonfly - Burton Mere Wetlands
A grey dull morning, turned into a lovely day after a short spell of rain. The Clouds broke and a trip to Burton mere with liz proved fruitful with great views of a marsh harrier amongst many other birds. The Bird photography was thin on the ground however but plenty of dragonflies about. This Migrant Hawker was nestled away in an over grown area on the edge of the reed bed. Would have been nice to capture one with clean backgrounds but it wasn't to be.
