Camouflage | by absurdum14

A photo of my friend Ann, taken at the butterfly museum / park in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. The butterfly museum is fascinating, with a number of exhibits explaining butterflies life cycles and attributes, as well as the breeding areas where you can interact with the butterflies themselves.

The Camouflage exhibit was particularly interesting, showing several different patterns and colours, and how they work. Even from relatively closely the eye tried to overlook the camouflaged areas, especially with this pattern. While you can see the folds of the cloak in the photo, in real life her face seemed to be just floating there in space.
