green! | by Abizeleth

I'm in Vermont this week for a conference - it really is an unrelentingly green state.

I won a trivia question this evening at the conference banquet for being the one person in the room who knew why the University of Vermont is called "UVM." (It's from the Latin for Green Mountain University - "Universitas Viridis Montis" I had a bit of an unfair advantage because I did a post-doc at UVM.)

The faded out mountains in the photo are actually the Adirondacks in New York - it was late in the day when I drove in yesterday, and very hazy, so it's not the best photo in terms of exposure, but it sure is green!
