Blickle Cinema in the 21er Haus, Vienna
Camera: Leica M Monochrom
Lens: Summilux-M 21mm f1.4
In April 2012, the Blickle Cinema celebrated its grand opening in the newly opened 21er Haus in Vienna. One part of the gift from Ursula Blickle is the cinema itself, which has been reconstructed based on the original design by Vienna architect Karl Schwanzer from 1958. The design was drafted at that time to house the World Fair pavilion in Brussels. The donation also includes all of the technical equipment required to play all formats of film and video in the highest quality. The Blickle Cinema is equipped according to the most modern technical standards and can therefore show films of the entire spectrum of cinema history, from the beginnings of experimental film to video film to today’s artistic works.
