I'd like to shed all - *
...and run away for just a moment.
I’d like to leave behind the anchors that render me mortal, that occasionally promise to drag me under.
I’d like to shed all and brandish a pair of wings –
where the sky dances with sunshine and treetop trampolines inspire playfulness. I’d like to skim the beach shores, dip my toes in cooling waters, to spy the puzzle of beach blankets in the fading sun. I’d like to feel the breeze comb my hair separating tendrils, one at a time. I’d like to catnap on a cloud and for just a moment, shed it all.
