Power Struggle

Those are the twin cooling towers of Rancho Seco, a decommissioned nuclear power plant in Clay Station, CA. It was closed by public vote on June 7 1989. This was taken off Ione Road I believe.

My family used to go swimming/canoeing in the nearby man-made lake which is actually owned by SMUD. I don't think I ever realized that I was swimming in a lake next to a nuclear power plant... haha
