Up on a hill near Llyn y Dywarchen, Rhyd-Ddu (that's in Wales btw :p) at the weekend, I was there minding my own business when all of a sudden I spotted Wooly the sheep was taking an interest in what I was doing. Fortunately he sat down to enjoy the show on display in the heavens just like I was.
This is a stitch from 11 individual portrait images I took. It's been a while since I took a really long panorama and clearly i'd forgotten some key things, like making sure the tripod was straight :P I had to correct some parts of the image in post-pro to straighten them out.
Even at somewhere as dark as Llyn y Dywarchen, the camera picks up the annoying orange glow from distant cities, I so need to take a trip to a desert to get some dark skies.
Flickr will no doubt make a pigs ear of showing this panorama, so please press L or click the image to view larger (and click "all sizes" in top-right to view super large).
EXIF : Nikon D700, 14mm, f/2.8, ISO6400, 30secs each.
