The final frontier

Newer Older

More fun and games looking up at the stars at the start of the week. This was taken actually at the side of the road at the bottom of the Llanberis pass, again, a shame about the clouds in the way, but not much I can do about those :) But i'll keep on trying :)

As shown on BBC's "Stargazing Live" 05/Jan/2011 :)

How awesome for you that you have a place to capture such a beautiful shot. I like the clouds they add even more interest to your shot.

fantastic image, i want to get up there and do some timelapse, just wonderd what the light pollution is like up there, can you see the milkyway clearly?

  11. SGHice 54 months ago | reply

Fantastic mate. It must be very dark where u shot this. I usually get too much lightpollution around here to get such a clear milkyway. Although on closer inspection I can see u are using a D300 a true low light champ. My 5D aint as good at high isos and lowlight although it was good in its day.

Think so too, that the clouds on the left are a nice detail so watch! The colorisation of your photo is very interessting, did you manually set the white balance?
