Women's Army Core (WACs) marching at Chanute, 1945

Between 1940-1945, Chanute Field (Rantoul, IL) trained 200,000 soldiers. The Women's Army Air Corps School was established at Chanute in early 1944. Pictured is a company of WACs marching during the closing months of World War II.
