"Illinois Central's new streamlined Panama Limited will make its first run Sunday, leaving Champaign at 5:28p.m. for New Orleans. The train called the most modern in the country, will
cut two full hours from the present schedule. Equipment includes two-way radio and loud speaker systems, connecting telephones and modernistic decorations." Courier April 30, 1942.
