Reaching the light at the end of the tunnel
We spent the weekend at Pine Mountain Lake, a gated community near Yosemite National Park, California. On Sunday we went for a hike at the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, which is part of the Yosemite National Park. To access the hiking trails you fist pass through a tunnel after crossing the dam. On the way back I caught two hikers leaving the tunnel.
The dam of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir was completed in 1923. It was built to provide drinking water 167 miles (269 km) west to the San Francisco Bay Area. To reduce the chance of contamination, swimming and boating is not allowed in the reservoir.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a soft HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, then desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.
