Right - time to post a couple of pictures - I have so many clogging things up that I don't know what to do with them and I have completely lost control of my stream. I'd just like to thank everyone for sticking with me in this period of non-commenting and inactivity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart :)
This is by far my favourite picture from the Blickling session. Bob and Angela are Lord Lothian and Lady Astor, who shared what I can think one can fairly call a profound platonic love. Having done a little research on both figures in preparation for the shoot, I was deeply impressed by their brilliant evocation of their personalities and relationship. They were a joy to photograph.
I could happily have spent an hour with them. Unfortunately we were rather rushed and - as the technical details below show all too well - the light was abysmal. There was only time for a couple of pictures. I was a bit dubious about the first, at f2.8, and it proved rightly so. There simply wasn't enough DOF. Stopping down a little gave a fraction more, and the picture squeaked in. Just :)
