My image has been reddit-ed. I can retire now.

But seriously. I found it interesting to observe what people find interesting in different sites.

Please note that the observation below is highly subjective and only in context of their skyrim image sharing community

Reddit.

Photographic aesthetic seems to matter very little on Reddit. Close ups of 4k tree barks and other static's textures tend to generate lots of views and upvotes, while more 'choreographed' shots (I use this term very loosely to indicate anything other than point & shoot what is in the middle of the screen) doesn't.

"Is this (specific object) real life?" shots gets the gold. I personally disagree. I know how great a directional post can look in 4k, But I wouldn't stop and rave about a real tree bark IRL. I dunno, I might have the wrong approach.

'Pretty' character shots are frowned upon as it is deemed to break the lore.

Also some people have this obsession with copying other people's mod list and ENB to the T... I dunno about this, I like diversity.

Nexus

16:9 Character shots are the best things EVER.

Okay.

Loverslab

VERY much like nexus, but with more boobs and arses.

And they'll go insane if you mention how similar they are with nexus :chuckle:

Well, to be fair, the community is much tighter compared to nexus image sharing

Technical trumps aesthetic. The more punishing a screen to your system, the better it is. It's a scary place to be around considering my built is rather 'weak'. Overall a very good and encouraging banter between the member.

The basket of EVERYTHING! I've seen everything here, from the ridiculously bland to ridiculously good (jay, Gio).

I found that the interaction here is the best. People rarely discuss things in depth. But when it's on, it's entertaining. Also the plainspeak helps a lot for non technical people. It can get a bit inclusive tho when an Ingroup is formed (Altho I can't recall any current instances).

DET (I don't think they do sceens sharing anymore, I don't know, but hey the Flickr Group is fantastic)

The apex in terms of qualityand technical speak. I found it intimidating because more often than not, I can only understand 50% of what they are saying (I honestly still don't know what downsampling, AO, AA really mean). But hey. Amazing pool regardless. I can't blame them for me being a pleb lol.

Tumblr.

I dunno, never been there.
