All Saints Church at Vange in Essex is another Churches Conservation Trust building to which I made an external visit only.

www.flickr.com/photos/barryslemmings/sets/72157600350888147/ to see the set.

The church is a simple 12th century shape with 15th century windows and minor work from the 18th and 19th centuries. The churchyard is large, still used and still well cared-for.

The church has been the subject of considerable restoration by the CCT recently.

It is very difficult to find as it is unsignposted, a problem I have found with several CCT buildings.

I eventually found it at the western side of town near the A13 roundabout which is signed posted to Vange. Turn off this roundabout into the village and look for a long hedgerow on the southern side of the road. A small break in the hedgerow is a vehicle-sized trackway leading into the churchyard and up the hill to the church.
