Tea and Roosters

Today was wonderful, especially after Drew and I both battling a stomach virus for a few days. Mom came over late morning and we went to Miss Shirley's for breakfast. We both had the Pumpkin cheesecake french toast and fried green tomatoes. It had started snowing just before we left my house, and there was more than an inch when we left the restaurant.

Back in Hampden, we went to complete our initial mission and restocked on our favorite mascara (kiss me mascara). The shop owner, Debbie is such a riot. Mom treated! I'm spoiled. We went to Spirit India...sadly, they're closing. Our last stop was Ma Petite Shoe. How can you beat shoes and Chocolate? I got some armwarmers and Mom surprised me with some shoes by Nicole...well, they defy description, I'll just show you tomorrow.

We went and picked up Drew from work....the Historic Ships closed down early due to snow....by this time there were a few inches. He and I saw Mom off safely, then we decided to venture out ourselves. We walked up to the Wine Source, then stopped in Woodwards briefly...then trudged arm in arm all the way home. After some tea, a nap and a snuggle with Otto, we made dinner (shrimp and spinach with pasta in an asiago sauce) and settled in with a glass of wine.
