Dead Can Dance, the Anastasis 2012 Tour
What can I say about Dead Can Dance? Imagine multi rhythmic percussion, a wash of synthesized strings, Mediterranean plectrum instruments like bouzouki, and hammer dulcimer fronted by two majestically beautiful voices and stories of lost love betrayal and ... yes death, then remember it's actually funky, and for those so inclined, danceable.

Last nights show was at Wolf Trap in Northern Virginia. This is only the second time we saw them, them is Lisa Gerard, a regal voice and Brendon Perry, a fine manly crooner, and studio whiz.

I, being a non-descript old, white, fat guy am frequently amused by the Goth, and inked Steam Punk crowd peppered though the crowd, but we all love the ethnotronika music of Dead Can Dance.
