Ahoy There Matey....
Every year our sister, Barbie, gets Marcus his Halloween costume. This year, as you can see, he is going to be a Pirate. He loves Pirates and even on his favorite cartoon, Scooby Doo, you even see stuff about Pirates. Must be a real popular thing right now for little kids.
Our sister, Barbie, is Marcus' Godmother and Kelly's brother, Dave, is Marcus' Godfather. They are very good Godparents.
The lucky thing is that Marcus was born in the Fall ( November 21 ) and new little brother, Lucas, was born in the Fall..October 6. All of the nice things that Marcus had Lucas will now be able to use and wear.
A lot of people think just because they have....say a second son that they can wear the same clothes on the second son. Some get fooled when the one boy is born in the Spring or Summer and then the seasons and the sizes don't match.
The timing on these two boys....with everything.....seems almost perfect. Lucas will get to utilize all of his brothers "everything"....pretty neat.
Yesterday there was an auction in our neighborhood. An elderly man had died and his entire home contents and house was being auctioned. It was unbelievably close to our home, so we decided to join the rest of the neighborhood and take a walk down. I asked if Marcus wanted to join me.
He was very well behaved for a long long time and then I had to call my brother to come and get him because he wanted to leave and go to a neighbor's house to swing on their swingset. Kind of defeated the whole purpose of being at an auction. lol His Daddy came and got him.
Last evening I called to tell my brother, John, and Kelly that he had been a good boy and to say thanks for letting him go and have that experience. Marcus always answers the phone. When he answered he said "HI AUNT LISA"....and then I hear "ten ten ten ten, fifteen fifteen fifteen"......he told me he was being an auctioneer. We always discuss things and I explained to him what was going on as I was holding him in my arms so he could see. I guess he took it all in.
