A recent trip to Northumberland allowed me one day of photography and this is the place I have always wanted to visit. Lying on a wind battered cliff top yet adjacent to a beautifully manicured golf course the castle ruin of Dunstanburgh is a truly magical place. I have seen many images of this castle, mostly taken at sunrise from the rocks at Embleton Bay however, as I was there for sundown I chose to use the dunes along St Oswalds Way that were lit by the late afternoon sun as the foreground.
I fell in love with this county during the short time I was there, photographically I have unfinished business.
