The Cathedral Church of Notre-Dame.
The tower has an octagonal plan, and served as the base for an eight-sided spire, taken down in 1793. At the corners, half way up the tower, beneath the octagonal turrets, there are two carved oxen. These recall the legend of the mysterious and miraculous ox which suddenly appeared, during the construction of the cathedral, to replace one of the four animals hauling the building stones up to the plateau and which had collapsed from exhaustion.
