Yet another big old mill in Chicopee. (There’s also the Uniroyal tire complex, which is a vast wasteland, and a massive red brick building to the west that is preserved and partially reused.)
Then there’s this, which the facade tells us dates to 1874 and looks like it hasn’t been used in a long time. A team of scrappers was hard at work in one end. The other end collapsed a while back and has never been cleaned up.
Here again are the silent alarms on the fence ... but this time we didn’t set them off.
