Taken using D90 paired with 80-200 F2.8D ED. Took lot, lot, lot of shots of flying bird during a show in -somekind of- bird park. However, I found that it was so difficult to get the right focus from my shots. Currently I am in a dillema situation. On the one hand, I feel that my D90 has already shown its ages. The AF was not good enough to get a crispy shot. On the other hand, I did some mistakes. Firsf of all, I set my minimum shutter speed at 1/250 (1/focal length+ rule of thumb). By use of this shutter speed, I think my hands were not sturdy enough to properly hand the gear. Secondly, propbably I could get better IQ if I used a tripod to support the system. Thirdly, I could try to set the shutter speed a bit faster, to avoid blurry image. Last but not least, probably I might get a better image if I used a lens with VR. Now I am trying to figure it out. Shall I get a better body, say D7200? Or should I get a tripod AND lower the minimum shutter speed, say 1/500? Or should I get a lens with VR, say Tamron 150-600 G2? Any thoughts? Regards.
