Helicopter Seeds, Adelaide_2087
Helicopter Seeds (Manitoba Maple) ready for launch. We used to have a lot of fun with these when we were kids and, ahem, must admit, I still do :-) They were really a picture in this morning's Autumn sun.
A little story, I've told it before: (Many years ago a teacher brought some of these to my primary school (grade school) class, we started dropping them out of a first floor window. It was so much fun that by the time the teacher came back to start the class, all his seeds had flown :-) Guilty but never caught.)
Shot taken as part of an experiment - hand held using an old lens from my film camera days with my current Canon 400D digital body. Everything set on manual of course and when I say "hand held" I really mean it, I was physically holding the lens onto the camera body with my hands as the mounts do not match - Canon vs Minolta - and of course none of the electrics connect or work.
Canon 400D body + Minolta 58 mm ƒ1.4 prime lens at ƒ8 and 1/250 sec
