Mei and I (along with 20-30 other foreign teachers) went to the grand opening ceremony of the bridge between Shekou (translates to "snake mouth", and used to be the only place foreigners could live in Shenzhen, I think) and Hong Kong. This will make it very easy to get to the airport for people over on that side of the city. Anyway, we went, and so did ~20000 Chinese people. It was CRAZY. Much fun was had, with only a few casualties. Yesterday we found out that we had pictures on page 2 of one Shenzhen newspaper and page 4 of another! Sweet!
