Runner Up--Day 114: January 25th, 2008--Weighing In
Last night I had my third weigh-in at Weight Watchers. According to their scale (not pictured here), I gained 0.4 lbs. I have been weighed almost daily due to all the doctor appointments I've had these past two weeks, so I knew what I was up against, but I was still disappointed. I worked really hard the past two weeks to follow "the rules", and didn't go over my allotted daily points and never used any of the extra 35 points they give you each week. That said, I didn't exercise. At all.
It was a wake up call. Excercise is important--for my bloodsugars, my health and overall weight loss. I joined a gym. Now I need to use it and get my body moving. To that end, my brother and I are going running tomorrow morning (more like a slow jog/fast walk if he's following my lead). I'm meeting him at his house near Lake Michigan, and off we go, in subzero temperatures, supporting each other through our run. It took a lot for me to ask him to help support me with my goal to learn to run. He's a good brother.
