I was planning on posting up tons of photos from Abu Dhabi and Dubai... but after this trip to Israel, those photos will have to wait to make room for this above photo.
That's me, at the Israeli/Jordanian border (King Husayn Bridge) in a small hallway where I sat for two hours, being interrogated.
Separated from the two other members in my party (both of whom were also interrogated at some point in the night), they had me locked away in a dingy and narrow hall way, questioning me about why I was vising Israel, why I was studying in Cairo, and why I was a religious Muslim but didn't look it... for two hours.
All in all it was a very rewarding and fun experience... but a long one. It took us a total of nearly six hours to cross the border, when it usually only takes people two to three hours. By the time we got out (the last ones to leave the border), all the buses / taxis were gone... except for one taxi who had a field day with us. Nice guy, but boy was it not cheap.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to catch a nap before getting up to pray Eid prayer behind the Dome of the Rock... :P
