Financial Literacy Proclamation Signing 2013
Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation on March 22, 2013 declaring the month of April as Kansas Financial Literacy Month. The proclamation states that financial literacy is essential to ensure that Kansans are well prepared to manage money, credit, investments and debt, and that personal financial education among today’s youth will contribute to the financial stability of tomorrow’s workforce and to the prosperity of the Kansas economy.
