My sister has tanker trucks of sugar delivered to the hummingbird feedlot that she operates under a grant from the Department Of Agriculture and the American Sugar Foundation. Hummingbirds are not famous for their patience, and this bird was about to go into full blown attack mode when the hummer in front at the feeder went into a sugar induced coma, and slipped off of his perch. All things come to he who waits. I like hummingbirds, and take great pleasure in watching a creature who knows what they want, and will do what it takes to get it. Hummers are not politically correct.
Strobist info: I put a YN560-II on a stand to the right of the feeder at 4 o'clock, and a YN560 on a light stand to the left of the feeder at 8 o'clock to throw some light on the hummer. I used an exposure that allowed some ambient light to appear in the image. The strobes were in manual mode and were triggered by a Yongnuo RF=603N.
