Pelican Sunrise

I was fortunate to be able to capture this little understood phenomenon of a pelican causing the sun to come up. This was in Bahia de Los Angeles in Baja California, Mexico. In a farm setting, it's generally the rooster that has this responsibility, but at the Sea of Cortez, it's the pelicans that carry the weight. It's not always the same pelican, as the responsibility is rotated due to the pressure.
