Flower Shapes And Colors In The Light
My wife and I went to the San Diego Zoo today on a hot and muggy morning. However, it was cooler at the zoo than it was at home. The zoo has beautiful plants and trees, and I've heard that they spend as much money on landscaping as they do on animals. For photographing animals, I prefer to go in the cooler months, when the animals are more active.
I have no idea what manner of flowers these are, but they were beautiful, and I used an on camera Nikon SB-700 flash to try and achieve some separation from the background.
I've photographed a lot of plants and flowers, because they're all around us, work cheap, and never complain. I have an album of these images with over 1200 pictures, and for each one, I have described how I lit them, in case you're interested in that kind of thing.
