2013 Data Visualization Contest, Duke University
In January of 2013, the Data and GIS Services department of Duke University Libraries (in collaboration with the Scalable Computing Support Center, Office of Information Technology, and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research) hosted its inaugural student data visualization contest (bit.ly/viscontest). Duke University students were encouraged to submit examples of data visualizations they had created inside or outside classroom and research projects on campus. This gallery displays some of the submissions to the contest, including the three finalists and two winning entries.
