1980's Chevrolet Citation
Hit while parked and shoved into the car ahead of it. The car was about a block east of a railroad track. Around this point in the street is where three lanes of traffic merge into one lane.
63rd street in Chicago was notorious for these kind of wrecks. Impatient drivers would always try to pass on the right in the parking lane along the curb. Sometime they couldn't cut back over in time and would plow into the parked cars.
This was common along the stretches of 63rd St where the taverns were located. Drunks hit lot of parked cars in front of the apartment. An old Lincoln Town car got hit so hard one night, the rear springs were sitting on the front lawn of the apatment building when I drove by the next morning...........oh how I wished I had a camera with me that day.
