1/14/2017 Swinburne Seals In The Snow
The North Brooklyn Boat Club was planning a paddle to see the seals of Swinburne Island. They contacted us at Sebago for some local knowledge and in the end 6 of us from Sebago joined 8 NBBC paddlers for an adventure in the snow. Radios and compasses got used, giant ships loomed up out of the fog at distances sufficient to be cool instead of scary, and seals, oh yes we saw many many seals - at one point we just stopped paddling because we were surrounded by little round heads. It's never clear who's watching who on a good sealwatching paddle, and this one was excellent. An amazing adventure with the NBBC!
