Sheepeater Cliff

Named for the "sheep-eating" (Shoshone) American Indians in the area when first explored by Anglo-Europeans; geologically distinctive basalt lava columns.

We often see marmots and chipmunks here. It's a neat spot overlooking the Gardner River near its origin.
