Biggs Beach Bluff looking towards Jack Point - Nanaimo, BC
This beautiful little cove showcases how the erosion from the waves, tide and weather have eroded the bluffs - wearing away spaces big enough to crawl into.
Jack Point is named after Jack Doholt (1819-1905) who was a resident on the point for 40 years (he supplied Nanaimo with milk and hay). Jack Point used to be an island at high tide, but is now connected to Duke Point and Biggs Park. Biggs Park is named after John Biggs, a carpenter and miner who pre-empted the land after he completed his employment with HBC
