TR 914 at Taneatua, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand on 30/06/1986.

 

TR 914 was buil int 1975 at Hillside Shops (454) as TR 187 (livery:NZGR Carnation/Midland Red), entered service 08/1975, renumbered c1978 to TR 914 (livery:NZR `Fruit Salad' International Orange/Yellow BS 08e51/Grey BS 11A11 ), altered 20/02/2006 at Woburn Shops ( livery:Toll `Corncob' Yellow/Aquamarine) and altered 09/02/2012 (livery:Kiwirail , Mk II (Vertical Seperations of Main Colours on Car Body) .

 

Close to 100 TR 0-4-0 (Rail Tractors) Shunters were built by a

Number Builders (Drewry, R.S&H, Bagnall, A&G Price, Hitachi, NZR) from the 1930's to the 1970's. Most were withdrawn in the 1980/90s with the closures of the Country Stations.

19 - No. 100-118 (TMS 315 - 511) A&G Price 1956-1964.

20 - No. 157-176 (TMS 603 - 799) A&G Price 1958-1962

6 - No. 177-182 (TMS 816 - 868) Hitachi 1969

9 - No. 181-191 (TMS 874 - 966) NZR Hillside 1973-1978.
